We Finished Painting the Fence! |
Aktion Club members, The Arc Advocates, Kiwanians and friends completed painting a mural designed by Jim Demaine, local sports artist on the wooden fence surrounding the yard of The Arc office in the NODA (Historic Art District) of Charlotte today.
Kiwanians from the Matthews, Mint Hill and Pineville-South Meck joined hands with Aktion Club and The Arc Advocates on several days throughout August and September to complete the project.
What did we learn?
It's fun to do group projects with Aktion Clubbers
Small strokes of paint work better than large strokes
Many hands make light work
A team can do anything - even art project when no one is a professional artist!
The new mural will educate and create awareness in the community about The Arc and the Aktion Club.
